Back in 2005, Jan Michaels (the creator of the Article Friendly Publishing Script) was a moderator for the forum of a free article publishing script. About a year earlier, he had discovered Php & Mysql and liked them so much, that he stopped programming in .asp and started writing .php scripts for the free article script users.

It didn't take Jan long after becoming a forum moderator to realize that the free article publishing script he was writing scripts for just didn't meet the needs of people wanting to start their own top quality article directory sites.

To meet their needs, Jan started in 2005 writing the article friendly script using both php and mysql. In August of 2006, he purchased the Article Friendly domain, created the first AF (Article Friendly) site, and began selling what he hoped would become a standard Article Directory script on the Internet.

The Article Friendly Script took off! Since then, a new AF site on average is put on the Internet at one or more a day, and the numbers are growing daily!

AF Grows Up:

Article Friendly has gone thru many changes ... changes mostly suggested and requested by the Article Friendly Script users. Originally, AF started out at around 256 K and after all the additions & changes, Article Friendly is now at around 6 Megabytes of quality coding!

A different article publishing script

When Jan was writing the AF script, he checked on the other available commercial article directory scripts, and found they ranged in price from $100.00 or more. After checking out the demo's he decided that AF would always remain less than $100.00, and would have the admin and author options that the other article scripts lacked.

As of 2008, Jan has accomplished his goal, and added two purchase options to meet user's budgets. Article Friendly Standard version at just $24.99, and Article Friendly Pro Version at $69.99.

Where is AF going?

When I asked Jan if he was satisfied with Article Friendly today, he replied "I am. I've always been lucky to have bright, top notch users to give input into useful changes to Article Friendly, and they really deserve most of the credit for AF's changes and improvements. So, as long as there are more requests and suggestions, I will continue to make the changes requested by my AF site owners, and Article Friendly will get better and more useful as time goes by!"
